things that we want. We all want our children to be safe, to do well in school, to grow up with a strong moral compass, to be healthy, to grow and develop in wholesome ways, to know right from wrong, to know that they are loved, to develop personal skills to know how to deal with the adversities, setbacks and disappointments that come to every life, to be only judged by the content of their character and not the color of their skin, their gender, their orientation or any other external factor. At Neighborhood Houses we also want our kids to know that they are a blessing and they can become a blessing to themselves, their families and their communities.
And so, we are in the business of Helping Hope Happen in every program and service that we offer. If you are a current supporter of Neighborhood Houses, we are very grateful for your partnership with us. You recall for me the scripture that reminds us that we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses. It is your prayers, gifts and witness that make this ministry of hope happen. If you have not been a supporter in the past, you are invited to join hands with us in performing some of the most important work in the world, and that is to help hope happen for others.
