"Everybody can be great...because anybody can serve. You don't have to have a college degree to serve. You don't have to make your subject and your verb agree to serve. You only need a heart full of grace, a soul generated by love."
- Martin Luther King Jr.

Neighborhood Houses has been giving kids and communities a place to grow, since 1913. Volunteers at Neighborhood Houses provide the hope that our children and families meet their academic and life goals. Volunteers supply the guidance and positive examples that give our families the added strength to fulfill their dreams.

Through our Volunteer Program, we will strive to make your experience rewarding and enriching.

Find out for yourself how rewarding it is to volunteer and to share your talents at Neighborhood Houses.

The opportunities for volunteering are endless!
Here are just a few ways to spread hope at Neighborhood Houses
Camp
During the summer, over 600 children attend our day camps. Opportunities are available for residential and day camp counselors or teaching special skills.

After School Programs
Positively influence the growth and development of a child by offering friendship, encouragement, and guidance as well as tutoring

Work camp
We are especially proud of this program. Volunteers lend their support to projects such as classroom assistance, helping children and preventative maintenance.

Volunteers perform a wide variety of jobs. All you have to do is decide what best suits you, make a commitment and we'll help train you and find a program that meets your needs and skills.
